Before tapping my card, I confirmed that it was two dollars, she clarified that she meant $209 (two HUNDRED and nine dollars) to mail a standard letter. At no point did she clearly explain that she was quoting hundreds of dollars, and it genuinely felt misleading and inappropriate. Once I declined to pay $200+ to mail a basic letter, her attitude shifted and the whole exchange felt dismissive and unprofessional. I’ve mailed an equal letter from another UPS Store to the exact same address for exactly $3, and I told her this. She responded by saying “it could not have been UPS, it must have been another mailing system.” I have the receipts; it was UPS. When I asked to simply buy a stamp, she asked me if I wanted to buy a book of stamps, which made the entire interaction feel even more frustrating. Overall, the experience made me feel like I was being taken advantage of or spoken to as if I didn’t understand basic mailing costs (which I do). Bluntly, she treated me like a “dumb blonde”. I will NEVER return to this location, and I strongly recommend others double-check prices and options before agreeing to anything here. I wish I could give this a zero stars rating.
