I use this Post Office on occasion and normally have a good experience. The front desk employees are not overly friendly but cordial and efficient, which is all I ask. However, there are exceptions. I was there about 4 months ago to mail a book and have it returned to me by the author. I was helped by Reynaldo in the most rude and condescending way I've ever been treated. His poor attitude was on full display as he mumbled and did his best to be unhelpful to me. I couldn't wait to finish my interaction with this miserable employee and leave. From looking at other reviews on this site, he seems to treat most customers that way. His name and rudeness are mentioned by many on this site. I certainly hope that he's not the manager in charge of that location. He needs to be reassigned to handling mail away from interactions with the customers he's paid well to serve.

First of all, I love that this post office is open until 1:00 on Saturdays-it’s so convenient but the employees are so incredibly rude. Both times I’ve been there, I was waited on by a black man, I think his name was Renaldo, and this man has zero customer skills and no personality. There was no greeting, or even a hello- he just stares at you! He’s actually very intimidating and clearly hates his job, and he was equally as mean to everyone in front of me in line. With so many people out of work, why can’t they hire people who truly love their job & want to help people?

For whatever reason, this location always seems to give me trouble, which is very uncharacteristic of most post offices in Pittsburgh. No matter where the area, the customer service tends to be about the same…the people are cordial, the service is efficient, and my packages and letters tend to be delivered reasonably quickly. At this location, I have had issue after issue and I am at a point now, where I will just refuse to go. Reynaldo is a condescending jerk who comes off rude even in the most innocuous exchange. I’ve caught him adding extra weight to several of my shipments, which caused me to have to pay overage charges every time. The self service kiosk is jammed half the time, which renders it pretty much useless. On one occasion, I had to put my packages in the mailbox outside because the kiosk was broken again. Several days later, not a single one of them had been scanned. When I asked Reynaldo to help me track my packages down or to help in any way that he could, he was extremely dismissive and unsympathetic to my situation, even though the incident happened at his location. I understand that postal workers are under a lot of stress and that problems happen every day for them, but what makes the difference is the level of care that the employees at each location take when dealing with customers. I’m not looking for the royal treatment, I just want my mail to get to where it needs to go. Literally as soon as I was done going 15 rounds with Reynaldo just trying to get any ounce of information, I went to the Crafton post office and asked if there was anything they could do to figure out where my package was or any information like that. Just from typing in the tracking number, the guy at the Crafton location was able to give me everything I needed to know. He was kind and detailed and understanding to my situation. That’s all anybody wants, is to be treated like a human being. Reynaldo is not capable of that, and for that reason, I refuse to give the Robinson location my business any longer. I do not trust him to deliver competent customer service and, at this point, it’s just not worth the hassle anymore.
