For whatever reason, this location always seems to give me trouble, which is very uncharacteristic of most post offices in Pittsburgh. No matter where the area, the customer service tends to be about the same…the people are cordial, the service is efficient, and my packages and letters tend to be delivered reasonably quickly. At this location, I have had issue after issue and I am at a point now, where I will just refuse to go. Reynaldo is a condescending jerk who comes off rude even in the most innocuous exchange. I’ve caught him adding extra weight to several of my shipments, which caused me to have to pay overage charges every time. The self service kiosk is jammed half the time, which renders it pretty much useless. On one occasion, I had to put my packages in the mailbox outside because the kiosk was broken again. Several days later, not a single one of them had been scanned. When I asked Reynaldo to help me track my packages down or to help in any way that he could, he was extremely dismissive and unsympathetic to my situation, even though the incident happened at his location. I understand that postal workers are under a lot of stress and that problems happen every day for them, but what makes the difference is the level of care that the employees at each location take when dealing with customers. I’m not looking for the royal treatment, I just want my mail to get to where it needs to go. Literally as soon as I was done going 15 rounds with Reynaldo just trying to get any ounce of information, I went to the Crafton post office and asked if there was anything they could do to figure out where my package was or any information like that. Just from typing in the tracking number, the guy at the Crafton location was able to give me everything I needed to know. He was kind and detailed and understanding to my situation. That’s all anybody wants, is to be treated like a human being. Reynaldo is not capable of that, and for that reason, I refuse to give the Robinson location my business any longer. I do not trust him to deliver competent customer service and, at this point, it’s just not worth the hassle anymore.

I do feel bad for coming in at the last ten minutes. But I had my return label ready and I was going to mail one letter. It should be very easy. When I left, it was 5:59. So it should be a tremendous problem for letting him off work late.
Ok, he didn't ask me what that package for. I was being nice for the shop that I am going to return and the postman was trying to ask me to buy a tape stripe on the wall. I haven't done proces ever. For years. I didn't know what to expect actually.i couldn't read the categorized names because they are so tiny. I can't understand what he was trying to ask me to look for. I did try but the man was very impatient because I couldn't find the tape.
And then he YELLED at me and I didn't wanna pay 1.69 dollars for something I am going to return for free. (Btw, it was a flat tape stripe) I took the item out and then just let him scan the label QR code and be done. The reason I didn't know this because I have never done it. Either I taped my package at home or taped my package at the store with free tapes without saying "priority" on it. I deeply shocked that this guy actually yelled at me. This is Pittsburgh and this is Robinson. The USPS I have experienced were in the Philadelphia even some of them were in center city Philly. They could be impatient but the stores were functional with full of customers. At least, I left with a feeling"I did it".
I would NOT recommend this store! I only came to this store because I needed to return something in UPS which is in the same mall. There is a solid reason why this store is rank so low. I would say " You get whatever you plant." I left with a very bitter feeling. If I could, I would wanna give that guy's service a negative score.
After reading all the reviews, I think people gave bad reviews to the male employee match the feeling I had. There was some comments caught my eyes. Was there a potential racism problem that I didn't realize?!

I love this 24hr lobby. You can buy stamps, get packages scanned in, buy postage for letters and packages. But.... I sell some stuff online & went there to put in the bigger package accepting mechanism and some idiot put in a package, I'm guessing, that was too big and jammed it. So needless to say I could not put my package in because it would not open fully without getting caught on something. Other than that I would just wish they had a closer location to me. But it's nice to be able to go all hours of the night!
