- CMCynthia McCoyFeb 18, 20265.0I made an appointment online for a passport renewal. The lady assisting with the process was absolutely wonderful. A true representation of what great customer service is. Because of her knowledge and allowing me to ask questions and the fact she was listening to me. I told her I had to pay a $45.00 appointment registration fee. She promptly responded, " there is no charge to schedule an appointment. " At that moment I realized I had been scammed! A special "thank you" to this kind young lady processing my papers for my past port renewal 2/18/26 @ 0900. I would not have realized I had been scammed if she hadn't listened to me. What is more frightening is that at no time did I realize I was redirected to some other site that looked just like the United States correct site. PLEASE REMBER IF YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND THE SITE TELLS YOU THERE IS A CHARGE... GET OUT OF IT! THE POST OFFICE DOES NOT CHARGE TO MAKE PASSPORT APPOINTMENTS! THANK YOU MEADVILLE POST OFFICE 😀 I know that now...
