- PSP SNov 24, 20201.0USPS DECIDES WHEN AND IF YOU GET YOUR MAIL. Update:Dec 2022 - I put a mail hold on for October due to travel, and selected Pick Up upon return. I go to the post office to find my mail is NOT being held, it's all been stuffed in my mailbox. Today I found that a credit card co sent me an updated card in Oct but the cartuer RETURNED it for some reason??? Who knows what other important mail they sent back without my knowledge! 2020: I was hospitalized a few weeks and when I came home I emptied my mailbox per normal. However I got no more mail for a week so I went to the post office assuming they may have held my mail. I was told my mail was "Forwarded" (which I did NOT do), marked with a green dot they said. I was told the carrier may know more and they'd call me when the carrier was back at 4. I received no call, even the next morning so I filed an online ticket. 2 calls later I'm told they RETURNED TO SENDER all my mail for the past 2+ weeks (but not the mail I got a week ago??)! No notes received in mailbox or on my door etc.
