- ASAnne SpencerJan 10, 20261.0I've lived in Fairfield for 50+ years. Last year, I filed my Federal Tax return by mail from this post office using a #10 envelope and first class postage to Kansas City. I sent it around April 1st, 2 weeks before taxes are due. I figured 2 weeks was enough time to get it to it's destination. About a month later, my envelope is mysteriously returned to my mailbox by this post office saying I was 28 cents short on postage, so my tax return never reached it's destination in time and my taxes were ultimately filed late. I live 200 yards from this post office, why did it take a month to return it to me if I was short on postage? Why would a postal employee hold up mailing a letter that is clearly time sensitive around tax time addressed to the IRS over 28 cents in postage? This is the type of people you have working at this location. Ever since then I make the 20 minute drive to Cashtown for anything mail related.

When the driver is running late (20 days a month) they will be 'unable to deliver packages'. Delivered packages to incorrect address an hour after delivering mail to my address: USPS instructed me to ask the vendor to refund money because they have no record of where the carrier dropped package, but the USPS would not confirm they lost the package to the vendor. I record all activity for review at my mailbox, entrances and drive 24/7.
