This is 100% no one's fault but my own. I apologize and pay to reopen it, every year no complaints as it's my fault for missing the deadline. As I went in today she stated that my locks had been changed and I'd have to pay to reopen and new keys, which was fine. My husband ran home to grab my key. I stayed in the lobby of the post office for the few minutes my husband was gone as I heard her in the back ranting on about irresponsible we were letting it close every year and how hard is it to resubmit the renewal. She obviously didn't realize I was still standing there. I stood there for about 4 minutes that she kept ranting on about us before I spoke up to let her know I was still there. Being 6 months pregnant and working full time 3rd shift makes it a bit harder to get to the post office as the paper specifically states I have to present ID in order to renew. (It's highlighted) Now once again, I realize this is my fault but I have never been rude or given an issue about paying the fee for it as I take accountability for my tardiness. But her ranting on for several minutes without even checking to see if anyone was in the building was extremely unprofessional and rude. I'd have given this post office a decent review up until today. One day, I strive to be perfect like this individual at the post office in Conneaut Lake, who apparently has no other priorities in life then to get their PO Box renewed on time every year. I will get it done, I will have to pay the penalty every year but I will never treat an indivual poorly or pass judgement on someone i dont even know because they have other things to be more concerned about then renewing a mail box.
