I ordered a very nice (and pretty darned expensive) dress from a department store and found the box just now next to the street, kind of by my mailbox, soaked by rain through the box, through the nicely tissue-wrapped packaging, and into the fabric of the dress. I'm hoping it isn't ruined, because I can't expect the store to return an item that they didn't damage. I've lived here nearly 20 years, order a lot via mail order, and have never had the post office not deliver a package to my (covered) porch. Has anyone else had this same problem lately? Pretty angry right now....
