- PCPatti CurtisAug 12, 20171.0I ordered something online and had it shipped to my house, I am set up to get alerts when it was delivered and was notified that it was delivered but when I got home, nothing, no package, no notice, nothing. I called the post office the next day and was told that it would be delivered that day, made a special trip to my house to confirm that it was delivered, again nothing. Went to the post office and asked them to check and see where it was delivered, it was sitting at the post office!!! I asked why it had not been delivered and was told that they were not delivering up on our road at this time because of a paving project on the main road some distance from our house, our road is not being paved. I can understand why they are not delivering in the affected area but we are not in the construction area and we were NEVER notified that there was not going to be ant mail service. So much for the mail service and the comment that nothing will stop the US mail. Apparently all it takes is a little bit of road work to bring it to a screeching halt.
