Sisters, post office used to be a really nice place. That is not the case anymore. In the past few years I have had more poor interactions with their staff than positive. They have sent packages back, lost packages after putting a yellow slip in my box. The latest… I went to pick up my package yesterday and was told it was large the employee couldn’t get to it until sometime after noon. I was the only one in the lobby. Went back today, handed my slip to a different person. My package weighed less than a pound, and was small enough to slide across the counter. Large??
Unacceptable, I feel like most (not all) of the employees act like they hate their jobs. Very sad for our small town!

The staff is rude and dismissive. I was trying to pick up packages that they wouldn't deliver to my house. I didn't have time to get from work to home to get the "peach slip" and then to the PO before they closed and they refused to look up my address and said without the slip there was nothing they could do. While I was trying to get clarification from the gal at the counter about the info on the slip that they would need in order find my packages, the post master walked up and said "Who are YOU?". I was confused, "My name? My address?..." My mail carrier happened to walk in and gave them my address and they were like, "Oh, okay" and got my packages.
If it's a security thing they could have asked for my ID but they just stared at me like I was stupid and I should already know.
They didn't treat me like a person. I was disappointed and confused.
Maybe they hate their jobs... It's no excuse to treat people the way that they do.
By the way, the peach slip doesn't have anything other than my address on it. They were gaslighting me but I still don't know why.

In trying to solve problems from my home in Washington about my delayed move to Sisters the staff in the Sisters office have been extremely helpful and courteous. Could not have asked for more......

Worst post office holiday experience ever! You expect long lines, so I'm not complaining about that. The new contracting with UPS and FedEx with the post office is leaving lots of people without their items THAT THEY PAID TO HAVE DELIVERED TO THEIR HOUSE! 2 weeks before Christmas we had a $900 perishable package sent FedEx that got dropped off at the post office, they don't deliver to our home so it sat there for 6 days while we tried to locate it and then made 3 trips to pick it up, but they had not sorted "thousands of packages in the back" and told us to come back the next day. The week before Christmas several items were not delivered, tracking said they had been sent back to shipper because of a bad address. The lines were INSANE and the we were told by others they stood in line for an hour and got SOME of their items. Today I had the time to stand in line with 4 items to pick up. When I told the employee, Roger, the post office needs to not accept packages they will not deliver he told me not to tell him, tell UPS and FedEx. I let him know they are the ones not delivering and I'm telling HIM. As he proceeded to give me large packages I was supposed to carry out to an icy parking lot I told him I would not be carrying them out and needed someone to do it, I got a cart from him and told him I sure hoped I didn't slip and hurt myself on their icy parking lot because I was getting packages they didn't deliver. He was a total a-hole and I told him so. Another example of a government employees that are awful and a facility that doesn't care or do a good job. There were so many elderly people in line to get packages, it was awful.
