Dishonest business practices. Every time I have a package to be delivered by USPS they just mark it as "attempted delivery" even though they never even try to actually deliver it to my home. The people in the office always seem nice enough I have to go there but it requires me to take time off work to come get my package during their limited hours because of their drivers laziness and dishonesty. If you live in the area I would recommend trying to use any other carrier for packages as this has been happening for years and I have never had an issue with any other carrier in that time.

Worst postoffice ever. Drivers do not deliver stuff, instead they flag it for delivery and then minutes later say its undiverable for random reasons. Basically they do not want to do their job. On top of that very rarely are they friendly and their posted hours arent actually followed much. No use asking to talk to anyone, they dont want to talk and just ignore what you say with responses like oh that drivers lazy and doesnt like to do deliveries, sorry. It needs a complete hiring overall from the top position down, complete staff replacement.

Silverton Oregon USPS would not deliver my package--the Post Master said it was too heavy--over 70 lbs. And blamed Amazon for putting heavy items in the middle of pallets. They did not even want to bring it to my car. Finally, someone got a dolly and easily tipped it into the back of my pickup. Guess what? When I got home and weighed the package--54.3 lbs.!! Looks more like someone just did not want to do their job--deliver the mail.

A year ago, the cluster mailbox on Mill Street was knocked down by a car. The broken carcass is still on the grassy strip by the curb, neither removed nor replaced, despite multiple neighbors' repeated requests. Just as frustrating, the post office tells us that we can not submit a request to switch to home delivery! The postal workers have been helpful and courteous but indicate they are powerless to do anything. It seems we are stuck going to the post office every day to wait in line for our mail. Really disappointed.
