- MRMiranda Renee'Sep 24, 20251.0Already am frustrated with USPS because they won't deliver to my house in downtown Rainier, claiming it's unsafe when truly it is not. I live at the end of a road and not on a hill, and there's tons of space to pull over and deliver mail without any cars in the way. Instead they want to offer I pay for a PO box, near $200 a year, and when I was frustrated they tried to placate me by saying "well you pay for an Amazon subscription don't you? It's the same price..." Wow, who are you to establish my budget??? But also Heads Up, I already pay for my mail delivery with my purchase of stamps and everything I ship, and every time I pay shipping for it to come to my house. That's how the system works. Instead those in downtown Rainier are being double charged just to receive their mail. You don't make people with a mailbox pay an extra $200 a year do you????? So there's that. I refuse to give in to this so I moved my mail delivery to my inlaws. Yesterday I got notice at 9:30 am (and they never deliver that early so I know they didn't actually attempt to) that they "attempted to deliver but mailbox was full". Guys, the package I ordered wouldn't have fit in the mailbox if they had tried. It's clear they didn't attempt to, and put this excuse up. I understand if you're busy, but don't lie about it.
