Dropped in on a Saturday afternoon after all the other locations had closed at 3:00pm. I was pleasantly surprised to see this location remains open until 5:30pm on Saturday. I expected a long line on the last Saturday before the April 15th tax deadline, but it was quite reasonable. Far better than the lines I've found in Beaverton lately. The staff were polite and responsive. They had three people working who were handling the line at a swift pace. I arrived at the counter with several letters missing a return address (my fault) and needed to know exact postage since I arrived with barely enough cash (I forgot you can't use Credit Card use at USPS). The employee was friendly, and let me quickly scribble return addresses on the envelopes while she estimated the postage, placed stamps, hand cancelled them (for tax documents) and rang me up. Patient, helpful and expedient. Well done USPS Hoyt!

As another government employee who had done customer facing work helping folks with SNAP applications in the past I know people can be difficult and situations can be challenging. It does not give you a reason to be dismissive and disrespectful. I was at this post office with an appointment for passport services that I had scheduled online. I received a confirmation number via email. When I got there I was told I did not have an appointment and when I insist that I do and showed the confirmation email, he insists that I don't and that it's not on his paper. If it's not on his list, no appointment. He then looked at my husband behind me, brushed me off and ask if my husband needed help. Then he asked me what I was there for. I explained that I wanted to apply for a passport card. I have a current passport and was told that if I applied for a passport card in person, I do not have to submit my current passport. I'm brown and a naturalized citizen, to mail my passport in and risk losing it gives me much anxiety these days. I do not want to carry my passport at all times and also risk losing it. I thought a passport card would help if for any reason I was stopped and questioned by ICE. Was told I can't be helped and that they don't do passport card in person and that I am required to mail in my passport. At any point I did not raise my voice or was even accusatory. This staff was escalating in his feelings of displeasure that I was questioning him, ripped a piece of information and shove it in front of me. I'm not asking my feelings to be acknowledge or validated, I just expect him to show the same amount of courtesy and respect that I have given him. I'm truly sorry the work that you do makes you the person you are. Hopefully you retire soon and may your remaining years treat you better than the way you treat people who come across your desk.

These folks are so kind. “Thanks for waiting” is something I’ve never heard of at a government offices. So polite. Exchange was a breeze. I don’t mind the extra drive for the kindness.

The package inside was fine however I didn't get to me until my neighbor told me they got it. I looked at the package and the shipping label that was printed out not only didn't have my apt number on it ( wich I did include on the order) it also didn't have my name in it! The sender got it right though. Come on guys.
