They refused to accept my passport application even though I had all the supporting documents. I even showed them the list of required documents on a government website. Called the state department who said what they did was illegal. Infuriating. Don’t waste your time coming here - they are just making the rules up as they go.

I came in for the passport appointment today. I was on time today, but the wait line was long. The lady was unhappy about it. My printer was down this morning, and she even asked me to go two blocks to print my DS-11. Why do they have the form in the office for? The lady did not even know that the naturalization certificate was the best proof of a name change after naturalization, that's court orders. She asked me to show her a name-change verification document. That only applies when I change my name after naturalization. I don't think this location knows how it works.

I went in for a passport appointment and was on time. I was in line for a while and when it was my turn, the lady (Ana) had me wait until she was done with the rest of the line. I didn't mind too much and waited well past my appointment time. She called me up and presented all of the finished paperwork on the table with everything that was needed. She refused to do anything because I didn't have my birth certificate even though based on the official instructions, I did not need it if I had my old passport and my ID. She was extremely argumentative and rude and told me to read the instructions on the paperwork and make a new appointment. I went out the door and read through it even though I have already read it so many times and it obviously states that it is not needed. I went back in and waited in line. When it was my turn, I showed her and she continued to refuse service. I had to make a new appointment and made sure to go to a different location. The guy said that this is an ongoing issue for this location and that they are not even supposed to refuse service, but to submit it and explain to people that if you don't have everything needed, they may decline it. At this appointment, I brought my birth certificate with my other documents and he didn't even need it because I had everything else. He said that the people at the waterfront location went through the same course for training as he has and there should be no issues when everything is correct. Needless to say, don't go here for passports because they very likely will not help you.

Doing a passport application. The clerk was very business-like, which is another way of saying, not very friendly.
