The new manager is both pleasant and helpful, but there is an Asian lady working there who is consistently rude and either unable or unwilling to answer simple questions. One star off for each poor experience with her. Additionally, the direct phone number no longer works, it rings on and on, until it eventually disconnects. Another star off for that. Ridiculous...

Be weary if you need a postmark for the same day. My wife went there and they said they don't do it even though the USPS website says: "As before, a customer can ensure that a postmark is applied to his or her mailpiece, and that the date on the postmark matches the date of mailing, by visiting a Postal Service retail location and requesting a manual (local) postmark at the retail counter when tendering their mailpiece. Manual postmarks will be applied free of charge."

Staff were courteous, patient and very knowledgeable. There was a bit of a line, but every customer seemed to get all their questions answered fully. Excellent service!

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I have lived in this neighborhood for nearly 15 years and have never had even a neutral experience here, always due to the same employee that is mentioned in other reviews.
Today was the final straw. This location lists walk-in passport application hours as 12:00–1:00 pm—this is stated both online and on all posted signage inside the post office. Shortly after 1:00 pm, I was still waiting in line with four other people, all there specifically for passport walk-ins, as clearly indicated by the signage at the start of the line.
While assisting another customer, the clerk interrupted and asked whether anyone was waiting for a passport appointment. When I clarified that I was there for a walk-in (as were the others, with one exception), she snapped that walk-in hours are 12:00–12:45 and I shouldn't be there. When I pointed out that all posted information says 12:00–1:00, she responded curtly that she personally treats walk-ins as 15-minute appointments, so her chosen hours are 12-12:45. The rudeness of this exchange cannot be overstated, and it occurred in front of the entire lobby, including the other affected customers.
If this location is limiting walk-in passport hours to 12:00–12:45, then its website and in-office signage must be corrected. If walk-ins are being treated as appointments, then walk-ins should be removed altogether and appointment hours expanded accordingly. Arbitrary, unpublished rules enforced at the counter are unacceptable, especially for a government agency.
I am both a veteran and a retired federal employee. I understand public service. What I cannot understand—or excuse—is a public-facing government employee speaking to customers with hostility and disregard. If this location cannot provide accurate information or treat community members with basic professionalism, it should not be offering this service at all. If this particular person cannot handle interfacing with the public, they should not be in the line of work they currently are.
