- MMMichael MarcusJul 12, 20245.0As a child I spent many summers in New Line Creek. My dad had a mine in the hills and we quarried decorative rock during the summer months. Our mail came to the Post Office via General Delivery. We stayed at the Motel off 395, right next to Pine Creek. This was in 1959-1960, so the Motel is long gone. I played in the Creek and one afternoon I built a dam out of large rocks and limbs. It changed the course of the Creek, which was quickly noticed by local residents. I got scolded for doing that. Overall I have many pleasant memories of New Pine Creek.
