This morning we came to get our passports done. Everything was completed easily until the end when we had to pay. For whatever reason the systems froze up and they would not take payment. We were told we would get a phone call back if it didn't go through. We did! But they would not take a card over the phone and they would not accept a check through the mail. We were told we would have to drive the 20 minutes back to pay in person and they gave us a deadline of 2 1/2 hours or they said they would shred our passport documentation.
I came back and just paid and calmly voiced my frustration with the lack of service, empathy, options and told them that being a public servant myself I understand a lot of what they deal with but that as public servants we can do better. They argued with me. Then on my way out the door I heard them scoffing / laughing at me.
The post office can be frustrating in general but never in my life have I experienced a less professional or caring group of individuals in a public service role.

This staff is super rude and lazy, I’ve never had such a bad post office experience until today. Odd too since they’re never busy. You come in a they’ll make u wait an act like they didn’t see you standing there. Are very passive aggressive as if this isn’t there job to help ?

So disappointed in their way of signing up for an appointment for a passport and absolutely no sympathy when I evidently didn't press confirm a 2nd time on the website. They don't understand the amount of time and effort to get work off and make sure that we have all the right paperwork or else don't care. Such a frustrating process and place.
