I came to drop off my package and was using some tape outside. It was right at 5:00 PM when a staff member came over. I simply asked, “Are you still collecting packages today?” She completely ignored me, and then closed the curtain and locked the door right in front of me. I’ve never seen such rude behavior. It felt like she didn’t want to do any extra work at all, even though I entered the USPS before 5:00 PM. This lady acted as if she could never be fired just because she is a federal employee, and there was absolutely no sense of customer service.

I want to leave feedback about an employee named Annette at the Clackamas Post Office. When I came in, I explained my concern that my partner’s mail was being sent back, even though my online USPS account clearly shows that both my partner and I are authorized users on our P.O. Box. The website lists both of our names, meaning we both should be able to receive and send mail through it. Annette came to the counter and showed me my P.O. Box application, saying, “This is your handwriting — all of this is yours; there’s no one else’s.” She insisted that my online enrollment was “different” from my in-person application and treated my online authorization as if it didn’t exist. When I lightly touched the paper she was showing me to better understand what she meant, she suddenly snatched it away, gave me a sharp look, and said, “It’s mine,” in a very unprofessional aggressive tone. I did not appreciate the way she made me — especially as a minority customer — feel as though I was being the aggressive one, when I was simply trying to explain my concern. I’ve noticed that Annette often speaks rudely not just to me but to others as well, while being noticeably kinder to male customers. We pay for this service and deserve to be treated respectfully. Annette’s dismissive and biased behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the Clackamas Post Office.

There's just something nostalgic about a true post office. With the poliferation of mail and shipping businesses everywhere, it's refreshing to visit the real post office where prices are fair and no hidden costs are waiting to surprise. In all fairness I'm sure businesses do what they must to manage the bottom line, but with Heather, the friendly gal behind the counter who helped me today, she was all about steering me into the very best option for the stuff I was sending my uncle, with budget considerations. Heather was knowledgeable, friendly, and surprisingly super keen on making everything just right which is not too common in government operations. 5 stars! Can't beat "the real local post office"!

I love that this location has a self service machine. Also all of the staff have been nothing but pleasant and helpful to me.
