Lady working was very helpful and had a great attitude. Took the time to help us and not rush us.

They say the USPS delivers to every residential address in the US. Not Cannon Beach. They don’t deliver to any residential address. Total false advertising. If a package arrives here with a residential address these lazy USPS workers (???) just send out a return to sender notice and don’t hold on to anything. This place is a total joke. The least they could do is notify recipients that their package has arrived and to come pick it up within, what, maybe 48 or 72 hours, not 5 minutes! Come on Cannon Beach Post Office. Give friendly customer service a try!! Lots of people are vacationing here paying your salaries. Try a bit of good customer service. It won’t hurt. It might even make you feel good to see a smile on a satisfied customer’s face!!! I dare you to be helpful!

Intentionally unhelpful. So much for small town charm. Came to Cannon Beach on vacation and had to mail something. Woman at the counter gave me grief because the small plain brown box I wanted to mail First Class had some PM stickers on it which had been blacked-out with a Sharpie. That would have been the third time the box had been (re)used for First Class shipping. She even went so far as to say, "I don't have anything back here to cover up those stickers.". Seemed pretty clear she was intentionally trying to be a pain. I thought about using a pocket knife to cut through the many layers of clear tape and scraping off the stickers. But then I realized...I can just wait until I get back to the "big city" and they won't give a first thought to a sticker blacked-out with Sharpie, so as to be in compliance. I ship packages like this through USPS several times a week. I have never had a USPS employee be this petty about anything. And on a couple of occasions, I have had employees go out of their way to help me. Guess this is a way of creating purpose for one's life in a small town. I'll stick to the city.
