After 40 minutes an employee named Alexei returned from his break, I asked why there had been no one in the store for such a long time. He responded that he did not care and that he was on his break. From that point forward, his attitude was rude, dismissive, and aggressive, and he repeatedly rushed me. I explained that I was there to return a rental phone. He responded aggressively that he would not accept it, stating that they receive over 50 phones a day, that this is all they do, and that the manager had instructed them not to accept any more returns. I attempted to explain that one of his coworkers had told me the previous day that I could bring the phone in, but instead of listening, he yelled at me, scolded me, accused me of lying, and told me to leave the store. My husband intervened and asked him to show respect and requested the manager’s contact information. Alexei refused, claiming the manager was sick, and began shouting at us to call Bell and leave the store. When my husband insisted on speaking with the manager, Alexei again refused and went into the back of the store. At the time, there was also another customer waiting, who had been in the empty store for approximately half an hour. After contacting Bell customer service, we were informed that the phone should have been accepted and that the employee’s behavior was inappropriate. I have never been treated so poorly. A man yelling at a woman in front of her daughter is completely unacceptable. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and addressed accordingly.
