I am not one to write a scathing review, but this place earned it.
Met up with my partner in the store to upgrade our phones & plans. My partner was already talking with Zaid, and when I arrived, Zaid never introduced himself nor greeted me, despite my greeting him. His response was 'Yeah. I see your name on the screen'. Poor first impression given he works in sales & customer service. As he briskly mumbled our options, I kindly asked if he would slow down, speak up and write out the differences as it was getting confusing and stressful. He misunderstood several things we said, which at first seemed understandable, but the more it happened, it seemed all the more like he simply was not listening.
Things got even more stressful when a woman came in and sat next to us at the back counter. She was agitated, and the other clerk matched her tone, and their voices were so loud because the dumb interior design of this store has all the space allotted to the products on display, and only a tiny fraction of it for one service counter where there are uncomfortable stools for 2, and nowhere to hang a jacket or purse/bags. It is the worst setup to have an in depth discussion about comparing billing plans I've ever seen. How am I to feel confident and secure in spending my money in a store that frankly doesn't give a crap about customer comfort in any way, shape or form!?
So I couldn't hear what Zaid was saying, including over the discussion happening next to us, and his attitude made it far too difficult to carry on the conversation to make any productive headway, so we left.
Follow Up: My husband went back a few days later, stood in the store for over 10 minutes calling out, while another lady was waiting before him. No one was at the counter, nor cmae out, but there were clearly employees in the back. My husband finally had to knock on the employees door because they (Zaid and another guy) didn't hear the customers coming in over the loud movie they were watching!! This place is run by kids!
So, although Zaid is basically knowledgeable enough for the job, his manner in dealing with customers was inattentive, impersonal, immature and he's nothing more than a warm body getting paid to regurgitate prices, rather than actually connecting with customers and finding solutions that meets their needs. AND, the store overall needs a proper interior designer to sort this mess out. I'd give it 0 stars if it were possible.
