A friend couldn't get their Gmail set up on the iphone they had bought a week earlier (at a different location). Christina figured out that the verification codes were likely being sent to the old phone, which IS what was happening. Once we were back home and powered up the old phone we were able to make the switch. Christina was very kind in spending time with us and providing a solution that worked.
