- MGMarky GreenthumbAug 21, 20251.0On August 21st, I visited the Ponca City Post Office to set up a new PO box and send several certified letters. The employee I dealt with, a bald man working the front counter at approximately 1:12 p.m., was unhelpful and unprofessional from the start. Despite providing all the required forms of identification—including my driver's license and vehicle insurance —he repeatedly made the process difficult. He took my phone to the back to "copy" my insurance information, only to return and claim it wasn't valid, demanding a third form of ID. He rolled his eyes several times and his dismissive attitude suggested he was unwilling to complete the service. After I asked him why he was making the process so difficult, he refused to help me any further and told me he would not service me. This behavior is unacceptable. I had important mail to send and was treated with disrespect despite following all the proper procedures. It is my hope that management will address this employee's conduct and ensure that all customers are treated with the professionalism they deserve. He seemed quite lazy, dismissive, And just simply didn't want to do the task. (I'll admit, I called him a couple rude names on the way out the door of course, I was extremely mad.)

However, the mail carriers are quite terrible at picking up the mail in my mailbox. Yes, the flag is up. Has been all week. Why they don't stop and get my mail? I have no idea. So I suggest if you want your mail delivered in a timely manner, drive all the way across town to the post office. I'm always getting other people's mail, too.
