  I was being rung up by an employee who had just come back from break and the store manager called her on the phone at the register to reprimand her about going to the bathroom and then going to break! Why does this matter? People should be able to go to the bathroom whenever they need! I asked the employee to hand me the phone, but I guess the store manager could hear my disdain and decided she would hang up. It's ridiculous for a company to try and implement such a crazy insane rule for their employees, not to mention, how unprofessional it was for the manager to call while she was at the register. I'm very disappointed in Hobby Lobby if this is the culture. A hostile work environment will get you boycotted! I also spoke to a supervisor on my way out about it. I told her Jennifer was nice and pleasant and deserved a metal for dealing with this craziness! This was the store in Hayward, California. Hobby Lobby, do something about this and DO BETTER!

  Let me start off with this. I don't think it's bad as long as you know what you're getting, but Ive also found that taco bell has just gotten expensive for what you do get. And this isn't a reflection on this store but more so the company in general. It's good but don't know if it's worth it.

  I am rating employee conditions since my relative works there. Maybe there is a new ownership issue? There is poor morale b/c of poor policies and practices toward their workers. Of all my family employed elsewhere, my relative working for Hobby Lobby has the poorest hours, and poorest Paid Time off. Their PTO is about the lowest among companies, especially for the city markets. During the Holidays, employees are scheduled for 6 day work weeks, Often 10-11 hour shifts, especially assistant managers and store managers. Some store managers are scheduled above 72 hours/week and 16 hour shifts. Hobby Lobby, please represent Christ better. Your employees should work in the BEST conditions and be treated high above industry standards! God will reward you with success for treating them well. Customers, please be patient with the Hobby Lobby workers and give feedback to this declining corporation. There is still hope! The employees who can stand these outdated conditions for 3-5 years are really solid, Good people. Hobby Lobby, STOP taking advantage of them and reward them instead! Employees who remain, do so b/c of THEIR strong character, NOT b/c Hobby Lobby is a good employer! This is the current condition. We Hope and Pray it improves.

  I was very impressed with Julia at the hobby lobby in Dickinson north Dakota, she helped me find everything I needed to make a wreath and she was pleasantl to talk to, usually I go to store's like Walmart and if I can find a worker they either are rude or don't speak English. Hobby lobby in Dickinson made me feel like I was someone and they cared about me. Kristy the manger was also very sweet a nd so was the Yong man who helped me check out. All three are an asset to hobby lobby. Thank you hobby lobby for decent people and loving, caring environment.

  Hobby Lobby is by and large the most reliable supplier of home furnishings, craft supplies, seasonal decor, and even affordable apparel in the US. The decision to be closed on Sunday is inconvenient for most shoppers, and their seasonal items tend to be stocked aggressively early (autumn stuff in July), but overall a solid business.
