I came in today just to get a quote for shipping, and the two young men working were fantastic—both knowledgeable and extremely courteous. When I arrived, there was a very long line, yet they treated every customer with patience and kindness. Even though I ultimately decided not to ship, one of them went above and beyond by offering to print out a detailed quote for shipping and packing. I was genuinely impressed by the level of service, especially given that there was no sale involved. I will definitely take my business to this location in the future.

I use this store frequently as it's conveniently close to my home. This particular store has followed the lead of many retailers by installing "self-serve" stations. Those are great time savers if your package is labeled, ready to ship, and fits in the little hole. My problem recently is with one particular employee at this store who insists on "educating" folks that they can scan their packages themselves, and is quite rude in the process. He has, on multiple occasions, snatched something from my hand, walked over, scanned it, dunked it in the box, and handed me a receipt with an arrogant, self-satisfied, smug look on his face. Literally the exact same process that would have unfolded had he just stayed at his station and let me give it to him there, but likely without the drama. Today, I had an Amazon item to return that had no box and needed a shipping label. I also had a pre-labeled package to ship, but as I walked past the self-scan stations, I noticed they were both overflowing with packages. For something I want to arrive at the intended destination it seems very chancing leaving the package just sitting around, so I wanted these both behind the counter. This individual again confronted me while I was in line, trying to explain that I could scan the Amazon return and drop it in the station myself. When I explained that it says "no box required" and the item is loose, he said something to the effect of "well, if you would read, it says you can just put it in a bag". I instructed him to come over and show me where on my Amazon return label it says that, because it doesn’t. He then quickly said that if I followed the instructions on the machine, it would tell me what to do. I mentioned the overflowing stations and said I'd prefer to hand my packages to an actual person. Fortunately, the other station opened up, and I was able to get my shipping done before I got angry enough to unleash a lecture on civility and tact, which this young man severely lacks. All of us get it, it’s all about profit. The fewer employees required means more money for the company, and while there is some argument that these self-serve stations provide convenience, we all know their primary purpose is to replace people. The importance of the remaining employees' qualifications are critical as those people are now the face of your company, and I’m quite sure, along with many others in the store who also commented, that this young man is likely not your best look for customer retention.
