- VSVivian ShumwayMay 15, 20215.0Have had a mailbox here for many years and received and shipped many items over the years.. Happy with the helpful & competant clerk on duty and have noticed mail and packages are processed quickly once they actually arrive to the USPS Building. I DID notice some packages (UPS Surepost which is a combination of UPS And USPS) are often listed as "delivered" when they actually have not been delivered to the post office. I assume they are listed that way on the day they are expected to arrive. Unfortunately, the very busy UPS guy often does not arrive at the post office in Dewar until late in the day. I have also noticed packages that are shipped entirely thru the postal service are much "Cleaner" versus packages that are delivered by UPS or the UPS Surepost method. All in all, a full service operation with limited hours. Happy our small town has a post office, as several years ago..many small locations were permanently closed.
- CUChloe uFeb 13, 20211.0If your package arrives at the post office, and says it's ready for pick up, its the CLERKS RESPONSIBILITY to either put the packages in a parcel locker, an key in the po box. Or that you have a NOTIFICATION STATING YOU ARE HOLDING THEIR PACKAGE! OVER A HOLIDAY WEEKEND DUE TO YOUR CLERKS Diligence. Its bad enough that they aren't working half the time, but this is absolutely ridiculous.
