Dear USPS Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a missing return package that was handed over to USPS, and to request a full reimbursement of $450 for the lost items.
On March 27th at approximately 4:00 PM, I visited the USPS location at 597 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio (43085) to return a package containing 29 items to Shein. I used a QR code for the return and handed the package directly to the USPS staff member at the counter. I was provided a receipt, which I later realized does not show any scan or tracking activity.
After two weeks, I noticed that the package had not been delivered. Upon checking the tracking, it only shows “label created” and no acceptance or transit scan. I then visited the Worthington location multiple times and was redirected to the CityGate Columbus location, where I was informed that the package was never scanned and is not in their possession.
I have made several in-person visits and multiple calls to customer service. Despite this, I have not received any clear resolution. Additionally, I experienced extremely unprofessional and rude behavior from one of the staff members at the Worthington location, which added to my distress during an already difficult situation.
This package was properly handed over to USPS, and the failure to scan or process it is clearly an internal error. I fulfilled my responsibility as a customer, and I should not be penalized for a mistake on USPS’s end.
I have now been informed that only $100 compensation may be provided. This is unacceptable, as the total value of the items in the package exceeds $450. I am requesting full reimbursement for the lost items.
Please consider this email as a formal escalation. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to pursue further action through consumer protection channels.

HORRIBLY RUDE woman that works the desk! She doesn’t want to do her job and she needs to learn customer service! Twice now I’ve went to this location and the woman has rudely yelled at me for bringing my package to her at the desk instead of using the machine! There wasn’t even a line or anyone in front of me, I walked right up and she was just standing there each time, mad that she’d have to take 5 seconds to scan my box and hand me the receipt. If I wanted to use a machine that takes longer then I would. Why would I want to though, when it’s quicker to hand it to her when there’s no line. She must hate her job and not want to be there or do anything, so it seems. I will not go back to this location!

My internet has been on and off for the last week, and an email was missed. A letter that needed mailed by April 12 2026, which was a day the post office is closed. This morning, 3/13/26 at 9:25 am. The clerk was asked if it's possible to have that letter posted marked for yesterday the 12th.
Clerk: "No. I can post mark it for today."
Fact: Run a Google search for USPS postmarked dates, and you'll be taken to the USPS site where it states, upon request, the clerk can accommodate.
