I went to the Sidney post office 3 months ago and mailed information about life insurance and health insurance information for an ambulance call. 2 pieces of mail. I bought stamps at the counter and the guy at the counter said he would send them out for me. He never did. A month later I had an unexpected additional charge for the life insurance and today, 3 months later, I got the bill for the ambulance again. He didn't mail either. Neither was ever received by the companies I mailed to. I'll drive to wapak if I have to mail something. My dad worked for the post office for over 30 years. He would be very disappointed.

The Sidney post office has always been great to me. There have been several times where they have gone above and beyond for me and I really appreciate the people who work there. They have always been pleasant and helpful anytime I have had to go there.

UPDATE 05/04/2021: THANK YOU Brian, I got my package! It was at wrong address! Thanks also to the mailman that drove back up to get it to me. I truly appreciate it! I've been using the services of the Sidney's Post Office for more than 16 yrs. I find 99% of the employees helpful, friendly, customer service 1st, etc. My dad was a mail carrier many, many years, is not an easy job, nor necessarily a fun one. I think if we 'flip the coin over' as I say, we'd have tough days on the job too. I have learned in my 62 yrs. that sometimes a person isn't necessarily unkind, that could just be their personality, I've been in customer service, is not very rewarding, nor much fun on some days. The ONLY complaint I have, is that the outdoor mailboxes installed a few years ago...while I love using them, is very hard to reach the slot from a car, it take a lot of 'oomph' (effort) to s-t-r-e-t-c-h my arm far enough. I worry about much older people that cannot reach it. Driving a truck, should be no problem slipping the envelopes in.
