I have made several calls in regards to talking to a recruiter and constantly get transferred around and eventually dumped to a voicemail. I did speak with someone once and was told to send my resume (which I did) and have not heard anything back even after several followups.

They screw people over! When you don't want to accept lower pay they refuse to look for another position for you. If the money isn't right we shouldn't have to accept it. Not good people at all

Overall, they're a decent company to work with. The ladies from Office Team are very kind and professional. Generally speaking, they find good assignments with great clients and usually there's minimal (a month or less) downtime between assignments. I would rate them better than average if it wasn't for a few important details. First of all, it seems like inter-office communication is inconsistent at best. The recruiters work as a team and rotate responsibilities. There were several occasions where one recruiter had no idea what another had spoken to me about previously. I also had to tell them multiple times how far of a commute I was willing to make. To me, this says that they don't keep good notes on their candidates. As a professional company, I feel they should at least make that effort. Second of all, you have to check in with them at least once a week to get anywhere with getting placed on assignment. I found out very early on that they aren't apt to contact you with prospective assignments, if left to their own devices. Again, on several occasions, I would hear nothing until I called them to ask if there were any opportunities, and most of the time, one or two leads would magically appear when I called. Basically, you have to be extremely proactive or you'll get absolutely nowhere with them. Third of all, I strongly suspect (as I have not been able to prove or disprove this) that if a client expresses some sort of concern about you, rather than coming to you to discuss the concerns, they will overlook you for placement. This also includes a suspicion that if you have any long-term illness that would cause you to need a day off every 4 to 6 weeks, they will overlook you for placement. Fourth of all, the information they have on prospective assignments is usually very basic and generic. I've gone into assignments and interviews both with no clear idea of the work I'm being asked to do. Again, as a professional company, I feel they should at least know and relay more complete information to their recruits. Lastly, due to the previous reasons, I went 5 months without a placement lead from them after having a month or less between assignments. I have worked with them for 3 years, and all of a sudden they drop the ball. After the second month, I gave up on hearing anything from them. It's a very disappointing end to an otherwise good working relationship.
