No other business could run like this, but I guess since they are government subsidised, the workers there don't need to operate like a "normal" business. Two weeks before the holidays and no extended hours - they close at 4:30. FedEx and UPS extend their hours, the Newbury USPS just keeps going along like nothing is happening. Like I said, no other "normal" business could operate this way. I stopped in the other day at 4:28 and they were closed already. The guy inside was just plane nasty - "WE'RE CLOSED!" Everyone there is on auto-pilot and it is set to the slowest speed. Slow, unmotivated, union mentality. No wonder the Post Office loses billions each year. With employees like this, it will soon be privatized and all the old guard will be run out. Avoid this place.
