I used this Post Office for a guaranteed delivery of 2 mailings. One of the mailings was delivered as promised. However, the other one was not delivered until well past the guaranteed delivery date. When I talked to the Post Office where it was to be received, I was informed that I should get my money back for the guaranteed delivery. When I went back to the Mentor Post Office, I was treated with animus and rude behavior by the supervisor when I questioned her on the policy she claimed would not allow me to have my refund as I paid cash. She was very arrogant, condescending and not professional. I specifically was told by her that there was a policy regarding the refund, but she could not provide any such policy and said it was on the receipt--which it clearly was not. She then claimed a refund could only be issued if and when the guaranteed delivery was in fact delivered. In response, I asked her what happens if it is never delivered and she could not answer that question and again said it was the policy of that Post Office branch. She then said she was not going to argue with me and to move on. I was not arguing or raising my voice and simply asking questions. In short, I was lied to and treated rudely. I will never use this Post Office again and feel badly that a Supervisor who is paid by taxpayer money has no regard for customer service. I would avoid this Post Office at all cost.

The mentor post office totally sucks now. We didn't even get mail yesterday and it was 58 degrees outside. Now it's freezing and cold today and we will see if we get mail.. It ridiculous that we have to wait all day long for mail to show up. When businesses open at 7am to 4 or 5pm.. When we aren't at the mall or restaurants that open at 10am.. it's very rude. Especially when people get lost or they don't deliver at all. The manager didn't even care about it either since I said why not drop off mail at the places that open first.. 😒 🙄 😑 We need a new mailman that is serious and wants to deliver at a regular time.. not 2 to 4pm every day.

Worst Post Office I’ve ever been to. One person behind the counter a week before Christmas. Other workers walking around with no urgency. Another one finally came to the counter. He was extremely rude. I’d rather drive extra miles and go to another city.

Sometimes I'll come here to drop off a package or two in the hours after their posted hours (usually only a couple hours after the place is no longer staffed for the day) and try to use the rotating drum in their lobby, notice how I used the word TRY. Every single time I come in and put a package (that definitely fits) into the rotating drum it is either completely stuck and won't move or if it does move it won't drop the package into the bin on the other side and I have to shake the whole thing and hope to God that I can retrieve my package as I struggle to rotate the drum back over! My guess is that they never ever ever empty that bin on the other side of the drum so there must be packages from the 1990's back there left unfulfilled cause I've never seen that thing work correctly! Terrible terrible terrible USPS. Plus the whole place is dirty and outdated, complete contrast to the city of Mentor. DO NOT COME HERE, YOU WON'T EVEN BE ABLE TO SHIP YOUR PACKAGE.
