- MHMica H.Dec 3, 20241.0I have had many issues with this post office since the time I moved into there area. They won't deliver packages, and even ones that will fit in the mailbox they won't deliver. As stated by one of the very rude employees working there several months ago, "well get a bigger mailbox" and a few other choice things. For example, I work from 6 am to 4 it takes half an hour to get to the post office, and for years I have been able to pick up my packages at 4:30-4:35 especially being in a very rural setting and they wont deliver them...he said you can pick them up from 6 am to 4:30pm...THEIR DOORS DONT OPEN TILL 8:30AM SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE!? THEY ARE TECHNICALLY NOT OPEN AT 6AM...But the new post master and or manager of this location would like to whisper to the person who i already made a complaint about previously and is biased instead of directly talking to me. Do better. Or frankly just deliver my packages.

I have never had issues before with the Athens post office when I lived there on a hill. They always refuse to deliver any package that is slightly larger in size. I have called and asked for months as to why and it’s always some excuse every time. We have fixed every issue they have had and still refuse to deliver our mail. I honestly think it’s pure laziness. I’ve tried to call and talk to the post master and he is always rude about it as well. So this is why I wrote a review and will be filing a complaint through the complaint line.
