USPS is the worst- my package went on quite the ridiculous, and unnecessary, field trip

I ordered a package from St Micheal MN. It shipped on a Monday and I was given notice it would be delivered on Friday. Never came Friday so I check tracking, it said "delivery Saturday by 9 pm". Never came Saturday. Holiday weekend so it didn't end up getting delivered until Tues. That's 8 days to do 813 miles. 4.6 mph is the average rate of travel. A package can be delivered by a jogger at the same rate as USPS.. Despicable

Second time in a row my Christmas Cards have been tampered. Glad my family knows to never send money or gift cards in the mail. Just out of curiosity - I’m sure the mail carrier sees this … do they not report this? Someone literally took a lighter to it and ruined the card as well. Glad to know we have untrustworthy people that handle our private mail.
