- BRBen RiveraJun 23, 20252.0Unpleasantly suprised to find, after years of friendly service, that they suddenly nit-picked the height and angle of my mailbox, threatened to stop delivering, and started bouncing my mail back rather than honoring the online hold. I ended up with several weeks delays getting contractors to properly dig and anchor a new post. Main postal unit was surprised when I reported their refusal since norm is to grant several 3-30 day holds. They were not sure that the local branch was allowed to ignore online hold orders. Also, they lied to me directly several times... they claimed to me on the phone that the mailbox had been down 6 months, then lied again at the in person meeting and claimed they had never said that, despite my recording. Several other people were there complaining as well. So.. no idea what happened to this once functional branch. Cutbacks?

After all that time a woman sticks her head out and tells me and several other customers that they are short staffed and won’t be opening today! To add to the frustration, I had to take a cab just to get there, so I wasted time and money on that for no reason! Edit 11/22/22: Like always, their customer service is TRASH. They don’t close until 5:00 but they refuse to answer the phone. My grandmother’s medication is just sitting there! For whatever reason, my address has always been mixed up between Wurtsboro and Summitville, but if you search the address on google or any other map website/application, it corrects it to the right address. They’re just lazy and don’t take the time to figure it out. Definitely the worst rude and lazy employees. Another update 1 hour later: I had someone stop in to try to pick up the package and they were there. So they were just ignoring the phone for a good half hour or so.
- KWKim WeeJan 20, 20202.0Very upset. The Wurtsboro post office location is never open on time. They are scheduled to open at 8:30 weekday mornings and that is never the case. You walk into the lobby to a line of people waiting for the staff to open the gate that never opens. All customers state this is every day and that they are constantly late to work due to this. I am now one of those customers as well. I find it inappropriate that they cannot open on time especially when you can hear more than enough staff just talking behind the wall. There are plenty of people there to assist if they would only open their gate.This is beyond frustrating and needs to be addressed.
