  I was faced with a problem with how to transport a purchased fishing kayak from Tonawanda, NY to Hawaii. Normally I triple-wrap a kayak and send it on its way. In this case, once the kayak reaches California, the fishing kayak is loaded on a ship and transported to Hawaii. I was asked to box a 13-foot fishing kayak. My logistical partner called the UPS store on Delaware Avenue, Tonawanda, NY for assistance. Spoke with the owner Rolene, who in turn called me and a plan was put in place to build a box for the kayak. When the special ordered boxes were received, a wonderful thing happened. Lauren, one of the associates who works at the Delaware store came to my store to help me create/build the box. Four hours later we successfully boxed the kayak, and the kayak is now on its way to Hawaii. I can’t thank this UPS location enough for the assistance on this project. Thinking out of the box from the initial phone call laying out a plan, to putting the plan in place with a successful finished product. I am very grateful for the awesome team at this location!
