Just moved here in Theresa, NY close by. Been here twice. Saw just 1 female worker, both days. Looks nice, takes care of herself. P.O. is neat & clean. She has nice personality & a beautiful smile that, does not go away. She welcome me here. 1st day helped me w/ changing my address & 4 days later she helped me w/ a verified letter 2 send. She made me comfortable… I like this little Village… everyone is so friendly & Edgar to help you. Sharon L Sirois

Last month I tried to deliver an expensive ultralight backpack to one of my former Soldiers in Alaska. I didn't have much money at the time So while investigating the different prices of my shipment options the clerk at the Theresa Post Office told me that there wasn't really a difference between priority and ground mail. I asked her if the post office guarantees the package will get to the destinations. She said simply "yes". I asked what’s the difference between Priority and Ground and why dose ground not have insurance. She replied that the insurance was just to insure the package would get to the destination on time. Against my better judgment I believed her. Why wouldn't I she works for the post office it someone would know it would be her. A few weeks later I two pieces of cardboard showing my address, my former Soldier's address, and a message telling me that the content of my package was lost in transit. I went back to the Post Office and talked to the same postal clerk but this time all she had to say was I should have gotten it insured. I tried to explain that that's not what she told me earlier that month but she wouldn't let me finish my sentence. She then let me talk to the post master. He told me the same thing the clerk told me. I tried to explain that's not what she told me but he wouldn't listen. I overheard he apologizing to the post master because she didn't think I would "fuss". I understand that this is all based on my word against her word and chances are nothing will ever happen. I might not have even mentioned this but just today my postal delivery man chose to honk his horn instead of walking to my door. I work nights so I sleep during the day and when he honks his horn I have to get out of bed, put on cloths and walk to him sitting in his car at the end of my driveway. I asked him why he didn't walk to my door and he replied with "I don't do that". I asked him if he could walk it up to my door in the future and he repeated again "I don't do that". Then as I;m reading my mail in my driveway he drove by again hooking as he passed my house. The Theresa Post office is terrible. Like I said earlier I'm pretty sure nothing will happen, but please be aware of the lack of respect they have for the people they serve.
