The Stony Small Business Development Center provides one-on-one, confidential professional business advisement in the areas of business planning, marketing, financial management and tech transfer to name a few.
The SBDC utilizes resources of the University such as the Colleges of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Business and Computer Science, Centers of Excellence and Incubators as well as the private sector and government to assist entrepreneurs, business and industry in the solution of their problems, leading to increased productivity and profitability.
By assisting new and existing business firms, the Stony Brook SBDC contributes to the stability and growth of the small business sector and the economy of Long Island.
