- PSpd spehAug 5, 20255.0This is my hometown. This is the eagle as we call it. Flaps its wings on the hour. It hasn't worked and I don't even know how long like 40 years? I can't remember the last time it flapped I think it was in the '80s sometimes and it wouldn't even flap on the right time at all or even consistently during the day night or whatever. So they just fixed it. It's all beautiful and I wanted to go down and take some pictures of it and just be in that space again. It's such a beautiful post office. Probably one of the nicest ones on the island for sure. Especially with its unique eagle. You did such a good job restoring it It is absolutely gorgeous. I didn't even see it in the best of light but it is magnificent. I love my hometown and I love this post office and the center itself. There's something just Norman Rockwell magical about it. Americana stuck in time as it captured in a painting by the man himself.

I am on first name basis with literally everyone at this PO because my former occupation required me to have to call the post office to track letters. Thank you all for your service!
- EWEmil WisekalJul 7, 20163.0This is an anchor of the shopping center. Looks vintage, but it was built to look that way in the mid 1900s. So it is not new by any means, but my point is that one might get the idea it was built in the 1600s like many of the nearby homes in the area.
