⭐️⭐️ As a long-time Lake Ronkonkoma local, I truly wish I could say better things about our post office, but the experience here has been disappointing for years. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, and this post office has been a consistent stop for mailing packages, picking up deliveries, and handling everyday errands. Unfortunately, what should be a quick, routine visit often turns into a frustrating ordeal. The biggest issue isn’t the facility itself — it’s the attitude and demeanor of the staff. It seems like the same group of employees has been here for years, and over time, they’ve grown increasingly disgruntled, impatient, and unapproachable. Simple questions are often met with sighs, sarcasm, or eye rolls. If you’re unsure about a form or postage, you feel like an inconvenience for asking. I’ve seen other customers — especially seniors or parents with kids — treated with unnecessary rudeness for taking a few extra seconds at the counter. There’s no warmth, no sense of community, and no sign of genuine customer service. The irony is that the people of Lake Ronkonkoma are kind, down-to-earth, and supportive — so it’s disappointing that the local post office doesn’t reflect that same neighborly spirit. It feels like the staff has been in a rut for too long, and the frustration shows. Even when the line is short, the process feels tense and uncomfortable. It’s a shame, because this location could easily be a great example of small-town service. The building is accessible, parking is convenient, and the community depends on it. With the right leadership and a focus on customer care, this post office could turn things around and become something residents are proud of. For now, I often drive to other nearby USPS locations where the staff are friendlier and the experience is far less stressful. I hope management takes notice — this town deserves a post office that matches the pride, friendliness, and character of Lake Ronkonkoma itself.

RUDE attitude. Unprofessional. Very disappointed by the service at this location. Two staff members were extremely rude, dismissive and unprofessional. They responded, ‘We don’t know, you have to figure it out yourself.’ Disrespectful and believe their behavior crossed into racial bias.

Guy that handles passports was extremely rude and dismissive. Very friendly with the first people he was speaking to, but then couldn't even look me in the eyes and told me he's too busy to see me. Won't be going here next time for my passport.

Absolutely trash post office that needs new employees, made a complaint almost 2 weeks ago about a missing package surprise nothing came from it and they keep saying it was delivered,I have camera footage of the guy only dropping off 1 of 2 packages, now all my mail and packages are being mishipped to another post office adding an extra 4-5 days for delivery.they lied and said its because the package comes in a container but couldn't give a reason why actual mail is being redirected and mis shipped,I will be escalating this as high as I can until something is done about all this.

Came to send out a Priority Mail package with the self service kiosk but there were no boxes. Every single shelf is empty. Great job!
