I just started coming here and the ladies are very nice and accommodating with all the shipping I do. I felt so bad I had to bring in maybe 100 packages one day and I didn't have the bulk scan sheets. It wasn't a problem at all! I really appreciate the work they do!

In my experience over the last few years this post office is dangerously incompetent in handling packages. I live in an apartment complex and more times than I can count over the years we have received mail belonging to other units, and packages are never delivered, we only receive pink pick up slips exclusively. Countless times have I had issues picking up my package. One day I was expecting multiple packages, but since they only provided one slip it was insisted there was only one package until I had the employee check again, sure enough everything was there, they had just failed to look or organize properly. On another day I handed off a slip, and they immediately went back to get my package, and upon going to my car and looking it over I realized it was not even mine. I went back inside immediately and they insisted I told them the wrong address, when I did not say a word but hand them the slip they wrote to me. I had never been that insulted in a post office, its almost funny. I heard them discuss having to rescan the package, what if the other customer that it belonged to was monitoring their tracking? Can you imagine the panic they may have experienced as a result of that? I can't even escape these issues at my place of work. I handle the mail sorting and often I see mail sloppily sorted with letters belonging to completely different locations within stacks. The most glaring and recent issue is that at work we got our mail and they left a huge package that did not have our address on it, it was off by one number. I called them and they insisted the package belonged here until I read the address on it, and only then did they send someone to get it. Not once have I ever disagreed with the employees and been wrong. I genuinely fear for my packages and dread when something is not coming UPS, Fedex, or even Amazon because I worry about mistakes like this. Its dangerous and sloppy and it honestly seems like they just don't care to read anything they get. Something needs to change.

The incompetence at this office is unbelievable. I had two media-mail packages that I wanted to pay postage ahead of time for, so that I could send them from my home after writing personal letters to include inside. The woman at the desk saw the contents, a single book each. And she knew I would be mailing from home. And yet, after mailing the packages from my home, they were returned because the packages exceeded a 1/2 inch in thickness, which apparently isn’t allowed when mailing packages from home. The woman at the Palmyra Post Office, seeing my contents ahead of time, should have told me that this was a policy. Now I have to make an unnecessary trip to a post office, and the packages are being sent later than I wanted. I am so frustrated.

I get notifications saying my package was delivered in or at my mailbox. So I go out and check my mail and I got nothing in my mailbox.
