  Mr. Munshi was phenomenal. I needed to mail a small package to London, and he helped save me over 50% on shipping by encouraging me to see if the contents of my package could fit in an envelope. He was also helpful and patient as I completed the customs form. I would definitely recommend this location and this staff for help with any mailing needs!

  The architecture both inside and outside feel majestic. Yes it can seem like the service is slow, but one must factor several variables: 1) it is the Main Post Office in NYC as well as located in midtown where the need for postal services is high 2) it's going to be busier on the time of day (9AM-6PM) I tend to go late after 7PM and it's less crowded 3) this location generally has only 2 windows open and customers, as a whole take more time or have to return to the window after completing forms, which will result in a slow moving line. Hence, this is not a post office where you can expect to dash in and out. So be prepared to wait. I'm sure the postal workers are doing their best to service you quickly and send you on your way.

  Is this the most rude unprofessional usps staff? Yes! He (window 7, March 23-2026) kept asking weird questions if my parents are still alive, what my politics views are, which country I’m from (based on the destination of my nail and my appearance!) how can usps keep such staff?

  Was recently here 2 weeks ago, I went to apply for a passport. The ladies there were the sweetest, I arrived an hour and a half early to my appointment and they took me in immediately. I payed for expedited services and received my passport in less then 2 weeks.

  I went to return a package, and the man at the window was impressively rude, insisting it wasn’t ready yet—even though the tape was right there for me to finish it. Apparently multitasking (like scanning my QR code while I sealed the box) was simply too bold a concept for the moment. Then the review screen popped up, and since honesty felt like the right choice, I left a negative rating. His response? He said he’d delay my shipment by two days because of it. Nothing like a little customer service with a side of petty revenge. What a shame.
