- DSDawlat SoulamFeb 27, 20261.0I recently visited the postal service to handle my passport application in person. While I appreciate the effort, I found the experience somewhat disappointing. The acceptance fee was $35 per application, which I expected to be reasonable. However, I encountered some challenges, including feeling that the staff member in window 4 today 2/27/26 from 11:00 to 11:30 am was somewhat unhelpful and lacked awareness of my family circumstances when I explained my situation. Additionally, there was a sense of arrogance that made the interaction uncomfortable. I believe that staff working with the public should undergo thorough training and personality assessments to ensure they provide friendly and empathetic service. Improving customer service and staff understanding would greatly enhance the overall experience. You receive fee for just collecting the application at least be professional. Well, I ended up renewing my passport online which costed me only 130 usd and for my son, I would probably try to go to a nicer facility where they treat people with respect and awareness.

I waited in line for 20 minutes in the middle of the day with a line behind me out the door and there was only one employee working. She will likely be on her phone while working, so be prepared for a long wait even if it’s not busy. I got to the front and then I was then told I have to use the self service kiosk for a prepaid label and was not helped. I hope this review saves someone 20 minutes (or more) in their day that I will never get back!
