I have gone to UPS stores all over NYC. The worst being the one on 84th & Lex and this one being the next. The old heavy women with Blonde hair is so LAZY & unprofessional, not to mention unpleasant to speak too. I had a Happy Return without a QR code and only a code that needed to be entered manually and she said she couldn't do that, it HAD to be a QR code. Additionally, I needed a label printed and they had the audacity to say it would cost $6 plus the cost of each page printed. In any event, I went to another location and they took care of my Happy Return manually with a Happy smile and they printed my label for $2 all in. This location needs serious employee and operational restructuring!

The lady that serviced me was very rude and condescending, and made me feel insecure about my package getting to its destination intact. And also I can't believe you guys charged three dollars for a piece of tape to call round the package. Not to mention a lady who taped it didn't do a good job, taping it and to it context to this. After I was done paying, I wanted to watch Her tape my package. But before I could do or say anything, she asked me, do. I need anything else. Why am I still there? And I said, well, I did pay for tape, and I want to make sure tape it before I leave. Is that a problem because I paid for it? So I should be able to watch you tape it. It's not like there's anybody else in the store.Besides me"

Poor customer service. Paid nearly $30 to print forms from email. They printed them landscape vs portrait. Incompetent and rude staff do not know neither interested in printing the pages properly. Disputed transaction. Much better service at other UPS locations.
On the reply they act concerned. They told me if I didn’t like their service go to another UPS store which I did and received much better service. They did not print the form as I sent it. Instead of fixing the issue and changing the print orientation they would rather argue and disrespect their paying customers. So I left. I feel bad for whoever owns this place because they have numerous bad reviews, the store is a mess and you’re losing money and customers because of employees with poor customer service skills and bad attitudes!

The level of unprofessionalism displayed by the primary staff member here—a woman in her 50s with long blonde hair—is staggering. Customer service is clearly a foreign concept to her; she operates with a baseline of hostility that is both unprovoked and consistent.
Her business model appears to be built on "micro-predatory" pricing. Charging $3 for a single strip of tape or $7 to print a basic shipping label isn't just a high markup—it’s an exploitation of the community she serves. These are items that cost fractions of a cent, yet she insists on exorbitant rates with a visible sense of delight.
I have witnessed her treat everyone from teenagers to the elderly and mothers with young children with the same dripping disdain. It is one thing to be overpriced; it is quite another to be both predatory and mean-spirited. If you value your time, your money, or even just basic human decency, take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other shipping options in Harlem that don't view their neighbors as targets for price-gouging and verbal abuse

Do NOT USE THEIR SERVICE!
I’m sharing my experience as it happened. I was asked to pay a $9.99 fee in cash, even though my return should have been covered by the company. After I questioned this, I was told it was a “joke.”
My sealed package was then opened without my permission, and I was told it could not be accepted due to size.
Regardless of their explanation, this interaction felt unprofessional and confusing. I believe situations like this should be handled more clearly and transparently
Update after owner response
I want to clarify a few important points that were not addressed.
First, your employee explicitly asked me to pay a $9.99 fee in cash, stating it was required to process the return. Only after I refused did he say he was “joking.” This is concerning and should not be part of any legitimate customer interaction.
Second, my package was sealed, yet it was opened without my permission. Regardless of size restrictions, opening a customer’s package without clear consent is not appropriate and was not explained to me beforehand.
Regarding the size issue — if there are strict limitations for Happy Returns (18x18x18), this should be communicated clearly before handling the package, not after opening it.
I came in expecting a straightforward return process as instructed by the retailer. Instead, the experience involved a request for cash payment, confusion, and ultimately refusal of service.
I would appreciate a direct response specifically addressing:
1. Why a cash payment was requested
2. What the official policy is regarding opening sealed customer packages
Thank you.
