Most of the clerks are very helpful and knowledgeable and nice but the older woman who is usually second-from-the-right is horribly incompetent and is rude to almost everyone (I’ve witnessed her yell at others to the point of having to be calmed down by other clerks!) I’ve gone to dozens of NYC post offices and she’s the worst … if you avoid her this is a pretty good post office though with lots of windows

Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. I get that it's probably not a very good job but please don't make that everyone else's problem!

I'm no stranger to the post office in NYC so I was prepared to wait an hour for my simple mailing need...instead I found there were four retail employees working, and most of the people in line were in line for passports, not retail (they sort of formed a separate second line, which was potentially confusing, but we figured it out). As as result I was in and out of there in about five minutes! The employee who helped me was cheerful too. An astonishingly good experience.
