This is my formal petition to open for later hours. This is New York, why is the post office closed at 7 PM?

I actually had a pretty decent experience at this post office. I went around 3:30 and it wasn’t very busy, so maybe the employees were in a better mood lol. I had issues with the self service machine and the lady at window 10 was very helpful with making sure I selected the right type of service for what I needed so I would be charged fairly. I’m very relieved that this was a pleasant experience because these reviews indicate that it’s typically not a friendly or helpful post office.

I watched three employees gang up on a girl who was there for her passport appointment. I overheard them being so rude and dismissive. They legit made the girl cry and then giggled about it afterwards. It’s weird to see employees that are supposed to help and be faces of the brand and government act like catty old women. Don’t come here for passport applications or anything really important.

If you like to be treated with disrespect and have your packages consistently lost and/or dropped off at the wrong building, utilize the USPS on e 70th st. I walked up to the window today and the lady was so rude, I thought I had done something to upset her, yet I was just waiting in line to pick up my package because it had been lost since the 18th of December. This place makes me uncomfortable every time I’m inside. Pay the extra money and use UPS or FedEx. Avoid at all costs.

I went to window 13 on Dec.23 rd and a lady wearing a pink Cristina’s hat processed my international delivery. However, she got ballistic when I pressed “Neutral “ as a review for her service, and cancelled all my transaction after completing the form .. Now she is in window 13 … I asked for the supervisor … She came and instead of telling her to complete the process… ( because the employee has to follow the orders of the supervisor). The employee was screaming and yelling..making a scene not following any order from her superior. I was fair enough to press “neutral” for her service. The supervisor- came without any authority and asked me to do the whole process again. These disrespectful people don’t realize that AI will take over their jobs ASAP … on top of that ….the rude employee cancel my order, made a scene and their supervisor didn’t do anything about it. Apparently being a manager or supervisor means anything in this place. Apparently there is not authority who can tell an employee to stop the tantrum and work professionally. I cannot imagen how that employee treats their superiors behind the scenes. Poor woman .. she will lose her job in less than 5 years thanks to AI and I will be more than happy to come here and see only machines. At Least machines are not going to be rude, disrespectful ( to their own bosses ), and not going to make a scene in front of everyone.
