Absolutely horrific service. I come here to pick up my dog’s cremains. Lady doesn’t even look at the slip, I get told immediately that they’re not there, a truck from the 138th post office to their location never came. I was told in no uncertain terms that they were at 138. I go to the 138th st post office where there are other people there who were told THE EXACT SAME THING by the triborough location and were trying to collect their packages. Manager at 138 has no knowledge of this late truck. I’m there an hour. Finally Staff at 138th tells me the package is absolutely is at triborough and to go BACK to 118th. So I go back and show the slip. Lady at 118th has the nerve to tell me that they have “a lot of packages” so can’t find it. Again, all without looking in the back or even scanning my ticket or asking my information. At this point I’m crying. This is my dog. He only just died and I want him buried with me. And I’m PISSED. Cremains MUST be clearly marked. How could they be so careless with them? Another lady overhears the situation, says oh yeah we’ve got a cremains box. They both go in the back (and I can HEAR them through the wall laughing at me because I’m crying). 5 minutes later, out comes a box with cremated remains written in red on all sides. I’ve never seen people not even attempt to make it looks like they’re trying. Wasn’t even a line.
