I visited this location for the first time on Monday around 12:45pm to ship a package using a prepaid QR code. When I arrived, the reception security gate was rolled down with a sign indicating the staff were out for lunch until 1:30pm.
I noticed a male employee behind the gate and showed him my QR code, but he declined to assist and stepped away for lunch. I then noticed a female employee and showed her the QR code while verbally explaining my situation. During this time, the male employee returned and began pulling up the gate. I stepped slightly closer so I could hear him better while he was speaking.
At that point, the female employee stated that I was stepping behind the gate, which was not the case. The male employee questioned me about this, and I calmly clarified that I had not crossed the boundary and suggested they review CCTV if there was any concern. I was prepared to wait until 1:30pm if necessary in order to ship my package. Unfortunately, no apology was offered after the misunderstanding.
When my package was eventually processed, I was also informed of a service fee, which had not been previously communicated. Overall, the experience felt unnecessarily uncomfortable. In comparison, the service I received from Ismail at the 6 Barclay St location was significantly better.I visited this location for the first time on Monday around 12:45pm to ship a package using a prepaid QR code.
