This place is always a letdown, this is the last time I'm ever stepping foot in here. The audacity of the workers in here, the postmaster comes to the front after the clerk stepped away and said I have to unload a truck and I'll be back soon, 6 minutes pass by and no Noone up front with eight people standing online. The postmaster came out and we said Can someone else help us and his response saying there's only one and he said if you would have came in earlier instead of this time there was two people to help all day. Are you kidding me with that response, that was extremely unprofessional. The Coram or Rocky Point post office is way better, I'm done here.

It opened a couple of minutes late. But the service was quick and the counter folks were kind and considerate.

The agent accused me of trying to retape a stamp onto an envelope. Then when I tried to explain to her when I tape envelopes the ends always stick up so I tape them and folded the tape over she still doubted me. I told her to look at my package which had tons of tape and then she said oh you’re generous with your tape. She handed scissors over to me to remove the tape. Then when I did she clearly saw the stamp was never used before. She tried to brush it off that she was concerned since it was going to the social security office that she didn’t want them to think it was taped on. That letter was for my father to get my mother’s death benefit since she died on 10/10 a little over a month ago. I was beyond insulted. I wanted to merely drop my package off and instead I’m accused of actions I did not take. I’m also a federal employee and I know they are being strict right now but don’t pass it off to your clients to save your own skin. Shame on her and shame on usps to treat people in this manner. That office also always has a wait and sometimes there is no one behind the desk. I purposefully go out of my way to avoid this office. I advise others to do the same
