I am so tired of my important documents and packages being returned to sender. I have told all shippers to add the four digits after my zip code. If they don’t do it,HOW IS THAT MY FAULT?? I demand the post master to contact me! BOX 266

Update 10/4: Another unpleasant experience at this post office because of the same employee. On this visit she called our local police (though she clearly felt no threat because she verbally requested the non-emergency line when calling them). Thankfully, there was another employee there also who tried to help. This all seemed to be retaliation for a managerial complaint informing her manager about her behaviors and for calling her out for using refusal of postal services as her means of retaliation. She was managing the counter and her behavior started as soon as I got to the counter. I was next in line, and right AFTER she served the previous customer, she walked off and verbally told me she REFUSES to help me and then refused to scan my packages. The other employee helped. I insisted on asking why she was refusing me service at a public USPS facility. This is discriminatory behavior. She told me she doesn't have to serve me and she let me know she received the complaint I filed. This is how I realized this was about my complaint a few days prior. I have never had cause to file a complaint for USPS service or employee before her and my experiences have always been courteous and professional with all of the staff and post masters. This is an anomaly. After much arguing only with her (the other postal worker was as great and professional as always), she tried intimidation next. She probably realized she had gone too far with her words and actions and tried to flip the narrative to appear the victim and only THEN did she begin to record both us and the other employee from behind the postal counter. She seemed to be goading by hurling personal insults, and as I wasn't accepting of her abuse, she eventually threatened to call the police to "have me trespassed". The other employee helped us by calling the post master. As we were doing this, she followed through with her threat and actually called the town police. This is a public USPS facility, I came to mail my packages, there were no threats, no violence, no cursing (except by her and I did have to ask HER not to curse). Both myself and the other agent were appalled and she basically used her position as a Federal employee for refusal of services, followed by intimidation with the threat of law enforcement. This was all retaliation for calling her out and not condoning her rude and discriminatory behaviors. I made sure to wait for our town police. Throughout, other staff member was as shocked as I was at her behavior and even asked her to stop, but she continued. Thank heavens for this other employee who not only helped us with mailing the packages, but also tried to deescalate the situation, apologize, and also contacted the post master (who was previously aware of the situation with this particular employee). We were able to discuss this matter on speakerphone and let the post master know what happened again, with the police there. In my opinion this is an abuse of customers, staff and public services. Previous review: One woman behind the counter seems angry ALL the time and makes visiting this place dreadful. We take turns with family members going there, each hoping to avoid Christina. First impression and interaction with her was requesting mail processing info back in July, days after the recent storm and flooding we experienced in the area and our local post office closing. She was kind of hostile, but I chalked her attitude up to the stress of her having her location overrun with new customers from Highland Falls. So I didn't blame her. I assumed she needed time to acclimate with higher mail volume. Time has passed and the atmosphere seems to have gotten more hostile. I see her losing it over the mundane postal questions, machine issues, slamming things around, rudeness etc. I feel bad for other staff just hearing how she overtalks them or seeing how she treats both customers and staff at times. Her behavior is condescending and sometimes just plain rude. Haven't ever experienced this in this area before from our postal service.

This is the only town we've ever lived in that requires residents to have a PO Box. They don't deliver mail. They also don't have trash cans in the lobby, only paper recycle bins for unwanted mail.
