One of the worst places to apply for passport. They have the most rude people on the desk. We had our appointment for our baby at 12:45pm for new passport, we were there right on time, and they were doing another client’s passport so we were asked to wait. After waiting, they say they can’t do it anymore, since they are closing. Like seriously, why schedule us for that time if you won’t take us.

This is the most horrendous post office I’ve ever interacted with.
I had not been there in two years, because my last experience was unbelievably traumatic, from the rudeness of the people behind the counter, so I’ve stuck to going out of my way into Franklin Square. I just needed to call and ask a question Regarding helping me with mail coming to me with the wrong name on it, my last name but as if there’s a whole family up here, it’s something that’s been happening just over the last few months, so I wanted to know how to fix this.
The main USPS number (which is who you get when you hit call in Google maps), gave me the number to this, my local, post office. they had told me that I would have to go and fill in a form but I’m a very long walk away I can’t make it, physically. They gave me this number and said to call them and ask if the local carrier could leave the form in my mailbox, and then I could give it back to them to bring back to the post office. They were so kind and helpful at the main number.
But when I called this number, the representative could not be ruder. She was yelling at me. She called the other person I spoke with stupid, practically, telling me that she was nice because she gave me the wrong information (what?!). And then she ended up hanging up on me.
I can’t believe how unbearably difficult it is to deal with this place. I was hoping it had changed, but I see it’s gotten worse. I have to say, the mail carriers are all wonderful. I don’t know how they deal with working in such a toxic place.

On multiple occasions a worker by the name of Carmen has intentionally tried do damage my shipments! You don’t need to bend an envelope at a 45 degree angle to verify if it can be processed.
This started because I make a lot of sales online and this worker hates weighing all of my packages. In a desperate attempt to see me less often she muttered “you don’t always need a receipt, you know.” Ever since then trying to mail something through the counter has been impossible and I called it out today but all Carmen did was shrug and laugh like it didn’t matter.
Extremely disappointed and in awe that expensive cards that I’ve sold could’ve been bent/creased because someone has no respect for their job or other peoples belongings.

I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at this office. Unfortunately, my experiences have been consistently poor.
I had an appointment for a passport application for my son, but the staff member failed to show up on time. Despite arriving 15 minutes early, they attempted to blame me for being late. This was not only unprofessional but also frustrating.
To make matters worse, my mother had a similar experience the following week. The staff were rude from the outset, seemingly due to the previous incident. They claimed she didn't have sufficient government-issued ID proof, despite her having a valid passport and naturalization certificate. The staff insisted that these documents were insufficient, which was baffling.
She got her paperwork done for passport application, with the same ID proof from Newhyde Park post office. And their customer service was excellent.
I expect more from a reputable organization like this. The lack of accountability, understanding, and basic courtesy is alarming. Until they address these issues, I would caution others against using their services.

Howie, the postmaster, ignores phone calls, tells employees to say he's in a meeting, then they don't pick up the phone, and he cuts out before 5 pm! They SUCK!
