  My company uses UPS for our shipping needs, and I’m at the East Rockaway location (#7299) daily. Over the past year, the entire staff has consistently been courteous, professional, and friendly. A special shout-out to Michael, who always greets me by name and goes above and beyond to provide great service. This store is reliable, efficient, and a pleasure to visit. Highly recommend!

  This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a UPS Store, and it’s entirely because of one employee named Michael. Over my last three visits to this East Rockaway location, his behavior has been consistently rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. Michael speaks with a constant attitude and acts like customers are an inconvenience. He has repeatedly tried to make me do his job, telling me to package my own items when that is literally what this store is paid to do. Instead of assisting, he stands there with an attitude and makes the process uncomfortable and frustrating. On top of that, he handles packages carelessly, That alone is unacceptable at a shipping store. I want to be very clear: I have never been rude to him. I stay quiet because I don’t know if he’s having a bad day or simply hates his job. But that does not excuse how he treats customers. I’ve personally seen him act this way not just toward me, but toward other customers as well. It feels borderline abusive and is absolutely not okay. I’ve been to this location around 20 times to make purchases, and I never had an experience like this before. The last three visits completely ruined it for me. Customer service should be professional, respectful, and helpful—especially in a business that relies on repeat customers. Michael is the exact opposite of that. If management cares at all about this location, they need to address this immediately. Employees like this drive customers away, and I am proof of that. I will not be returning to this store, and I will not spend another dollar here. If I walk in and see him working, I’m turning right around and leaving.
